FIRST FITTING, FUJITSU
The first sample fitting, recorded indoors on a Fujitsu camera from 1999.
On 28 August 2026, Mary tried pieces from the first physical sample order. Jeremy recorded the fitting indoors on a Fujitsu camera made in 1999. The camera moved in and out: a detail, a wider frame, the garment in motion, then another close view. The recording was loose by design. It was not approached as campaign film.
A fitting can settle questions that do not exist on a screen. Proportion changes when a body moves. A surface behaves differently as the camera closes in. The useful frame is not always the composed one; sometimes it is the zoom that arrives late, the edge of a garment leaving the picture, or the movement between two positions.
The footage is being kept in the working archive as evidence from the first fitting. It is not yet published as a Lost Tape because the corresponding media has not been prepared for the public site. The dispatch remains a record of the capture: imperfect, observational and kept close to the conditions in which the garments were being reviewed.
